How many students are in each class?
Each class will have an average of 10 students depending on the subject.
Our current student to teacher ratio is 12 to 1.
How will you support, my son/daughter's academic, spiritual and personal growth?
St. Gerard Catholic High School offers an academic experience grounded in a strong foundation of curriculum based on standards aligned with the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills) and the National Standards & Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools.
Our school community is small and tight-knit, ensuring each young man and woman is known to our Administration, Staff and Faculty.
As a Catholic School, Religion is integrated into the curriculum and experiences on a daily basis.
This "whole-child" approach is fundamental to the Catholic School experience, and one on which the St. Gerard tradition has been built upon since 1927.

How do you prepare students for college?
There are a number of opportunities for each member of our student body to begin developing the skills and habits they will need in their post-secondary experience, including:
No bells on campus, students must manage their own time in between classes to ensure they are punctual and are using their passing time most effectively.
Low cost dual credit, we collaborate with St. Phillips College (right down the street) to ensure students can earn college credit beginning their sophomore year.
Internships - St. Gerard allows seniors to venture out into the San Antonio community to gain experience, network, and learn on the job skills to better prepare them for college and the workforce. Internship locations include law offices, veterinary clinics, schools, counseling offices, and many more.
